Concert of classical music: Quinta Essentia

The Quinta Essentia Ensemble, founded in 2020, reveals its purpose already in its name, which signifies a focus on the deepest, most ethereal essence of music. The ensemble aims to bring together young and distinguished musicians specialized in historically informed performance.

This is a new generation of artists whose expertise—developed through years of education and experience on European stages—seeks to further expand and promote the strong European tradition of “early music,” which already exists in Croatia but longs for new and even greater achievements.

For these musicians, the beauty of “music” is not merely an aesthetic concept, but rather an ether (quinta essentia)—the fifth essence—within which all life, including art, resides. Music is the furrow (lyre) that the Muses plough through the souls of musicians and audiences alike, producing a furrowed ecstasy (de-lirium), a romantic delirium as an expression of being carried away by the primal, ethereal movement of love that drives all things.
